The WVJO Guest Artist Series of 2008-2009 begins Sunday, Oct. 19 with vocalist Madeline Eastman, a Bay Area talent who has achieved international recognition for her great voice and sense of musical adventure. She'll be backed by the West Valley Jazz Orchestra, a top notch big band of local professional musicians.

The Inventions Trio - with virtuoso musicians pianist Bill Mays, trumpeter Marvin Stamm, and cellist Alisa Horn - joins the WVC student jazz band for an evening of diverse music on October 3.
